Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua, an island with 365 pink and white beaches, great reefs for diving and snorkelling, and was once home to Great Britain's most important Caribbean base, established by Admiral Horatio Nelson in 1784. Antigua has many historic sites including Betty’s Hope sugar mill, St. John’s Cathedral and Nelson’s Dockyard for visitors to explore. The island also provides many activities such as snorkelling, scuba, boating, and fishing.
Neighbouring island, Barbuda is home to one of the region's most significant bird sanctuaries, has a relaxed atmosphere and gorgeous pink and white sand beaches. Barbuda can be easily reached from Antigua by airplane or boat.
Temperatures in the islands generally range from the mid-seventies in the winter to the mid-eighties in the summer and have low humidity throughout the year. Antigua and Barbuda are among the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean Islands.
