The Contemporary Castle is a stunning, two-story oceanfront villa located in the seaside community of Sandbridge Beach, just twenty minutes south of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. The home sits among rolling sand dunes and offers incredible panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. As part of the contemporary architecture of the home, most all of the rooms have very high vaulted ceilings, several with upper celestory windows and most all have Hunter ceiling fans. The spacious oceanside greatroom is lined with creamy yellow leather sofas, and provides a big-screen Sony televsion for the viewing pleasure of guests along with a panoramic view of the Atlantic through the 28 foot window-wall. Just outside the greatroom is a 16 X 30 sundeck offering forever views of the mighty Atlantic...plus the dolphin will entertain you with their antics. All of the five bedrooms are spacious and very tastefully furnished. There are two master suites...on the first level is the small master suite with its queen bed, kitchenette and private bath with jetted tub. On the second-level (oceanside) is the very large master suite with its private bath, sundeck and entertainment unit. On the front-side of the villa is a wing containing three spacious bedrooms...one has a king bed, one has a queen bed, and the large corner bedroom has two bunk beds...one bunk has a double over a double with a pull-out twin, and the other bunk has two twins with a pull-out twin...hence, sleeping capacity for eight in this kids room. There is a very large, newly remodeled bathroom that serves this wing. The diningroom is spectacular with its twelve foot atrium that offers oceanview dining from the custom-built granite table that seats ten guests...and adjacent to the diningroom is the newly remodeled kitchen with its custom built trellis table that seats eight. All surfaces in the kitchen are lovely blue-pearl granite...gorgeous at night! Theres a large center work island and a huge pantry for storage. Guests will enjoy the huggarage/gameroom...theres a nice Valley billiard table as well as a Kettler ping-pong table along with comfortable couches, a large table with chairs, an extra refrigerater as well as the washer and dryer. Outside, theres an entry level wraparound deck that sits on the dune...at the rear of the house (oceanside) this deck is shaded by the second-level deck, and offers a great place to relax and watch the little ones play in the sand. Step off of this deck, and walk over the dune onto our fabulous five-mile long Sandbridge Beach! Without a doubt, The Contemporary Castle will provide its guests a vacation experience that will long be remembered with fond memories! |
