Nestled among the pines with views of magnificent Mount Shasta, this charming, modern chalet lets you relax and reflect on the serenity of the area while enjoying the comforts of home. Romantic luxury for two... Yet spacious enough to sleep a large family. We, Jack and Terri, live in the Bay Area but go to Mount Shasta so often that we decided to buy the Chalet in 1999 for our own use and for guests. The Chalet is located three and a half miles from central Mount Shasta City, just north of the city limits in a quiet residential neighborhood, recessed from the street. It is very peaceful and private, with plenty of distance (and trees!) between the neighbors. There is a wonderful view of the mountain from the deck, the dining area, and the upstairs loft area. You will find an outdoor table (with chairs and umbrella) on the deck during the warm weather months as well as an outdoor barbecue grill. And sleds in winter! The large master bedroom suite (upstairs) has a queen bed, queen sofa bed, walk-in closet, and full bath (with bathtub/shower). The loft outside the bedroom looks over the living area and offers a great reading spot, and is also perfect for viewing Mt. Shasta. The downstairs bedroom (queen bed) is on the main level with the living area and is nicely situated down a hallway allowing an escape to privacy. There is and another full bath (walk-in shower) near the bedroom. If needed, the full size sofa in the living room can also be used for sleeping. We are proud of our growing number of repeat guests, and we hope you enjoy The Chalet as much as we do. We are also dog-lovers, so you can bring ALL members of the family! The first time the whole family has gotten together in Mt. Shasta in quite a few years. The Chalet fit our needs perfectly. I am sure you will be hearing from us again. (April 2006) We loved the floor plan, the kitchen, the privacy, the neighborhood, and all the information. It was by far the nicest place weve ever stayed in Mt. Shasta. Despite the rainy, snowy weather we had, and the fact that we never did see the mountain, we had a great time. (April 2006) The Chalet was very cozy and made us feel at home. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring! It is so nice you are willing to share your special place with the rest of us. (Oct. 2005) The cotton linens and comforters were a dream, as was the quality of the mattresses. Unusually wonderful and a huge reason to return! (Sept. 2005) Absolutely loved the place. Beds were ultra comfortable. Lots of good kitchen sundries for use. Thanks. (July 2005) The Chalet was by far the best (cleanest and most comfortable) place we have stayed in Mt. Shasta. The Chalet is well designed and well maintained. The location was exceptional, as we like to be close but not right in town. Thank you for a great stay. Our little dog loved her home for a few days too! P.S. If you ever want to sell the Chalet, let us know! (June 2005) It was like arriving at a friends house when we were expected and welcome. It had everything we needed. Comfortable, good kitchen, good flow through the house. The location (hidden behind manzanita) with such a fabulous view of Mt. Shasta and Black Butte was hard to improve upon. |
