This is a perfect holiday for singles, couples, families or groups and is an ideal setting for workshops and retreats. Why not try painting, bird watching, walking, fishing, boating and more. Taste local wines and cuisine and enjoy nearby facilities which include horse riding, canoeing, go- kart racing, golf and ten pin bowling, etc. A weeks rental in high season is 600 which is for up to 4 persons. Please contact owners for details of low and mid season prices The weekly rental price includes: - a weekly cleaning service - electricity and gas for hot water and cooking - a welcome pack to include basics such as milk, bread, butter, etc. local wine Additional services can be provided at an extra charge: - central heating - three course evening meal of your choice - a personal tour of the surrounding area - extra linen and towels - personal laundry there is no ironing service but there is an iron and table top ironing board for client use The holiday villa comprises: 1 double bedroom with ensuite shower room 1 twin bedroom which can be converted into a kingsize bed a separate bathroom. A large lounge with a wood burner can be used as a double bedroom using the double sofa bed. A very large farmhouse kitchen/dining room which seats up to 10 persons comfortably. An upper level of the holiday villa is open plan and can be converted into a sleeping area for up to 4 persons with clothes hanging facilities. A cot and high chair are available. Both floors have shaded balconies with lake views. Fresh bed linen and towels will be supplied once a week. The double en suite bedroom, twin bedroom and lounge if used as bedroom are supplied with cotton bathrobes for adults. We have Sky Satellite and Cabo Satellite Portuguese together with Playstation One and a video player. Clients are welcome to use the stereo on the upper level and the portable CD/tape/radio player in the kitchen. The owners will be on site for the majority of your stay although we live in a separate building shielded from view from the property. This means that you can enjoy your stay without intrusion but we are on hand if required. The nearest caf and shop is less than 2 miles away in Sarnadela; there is a Post Office less than 2 miles away in Pombeiro da Beira. The nearest supermarkets are in Arganil which is about 15-20 minutes drive from Roda - Intermarche and Lidl are the main supermarkets but there are also many cafes, restaurants and small shops including take away pizza, etc. Although we have a salt water swimming pool it is possible to swim in the lake but we would suggest plastic or similar footwear be worn. . |
