| Property Description: This property is located at Via della chiesa 5 - Lanciole PT - Tuscany Italy, and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The average rate for renting this property is $121.13 per night. The Fairys Cottage is a pretty village house built of mellow stone where can be accomodate confortable 5 people, it set in the tiny hilltop village of Lanciole and formed from part of a huge stone building dating back to the 1200s - and which a Ghibelline castle. The Ghibellines who sided with the holy roman Emperor fought aginst the Guelphs who supported the Pope over the right to rule the nothern part of Italy. In the Castle there are two properties the Fairy and the Elf. The Village lies in the hills to the north of Pescia and Montecatini - a very picturesque area ideal for touring or relaxing in delightful surroundings. The property itself is full character with a cosy cottage feel where you will feel really at home. The Fairy property is reached up stone steps leading to a delightful terrace which has outstanding views to the surrounding woodland. The entrance from the terrace leads into a picturesque dining/kitchen with most attractive Tuscan fireplace, beamed ceiling and antique terracotta floor gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, stone sink. Door from the kitchen lead in to a 1800 bed room which has a window looking to the church. Small cloakroom with a wc and basin also houses washing machine. Open tread stairs from the kitchen lead to a first floor sitting room with sofa, satellite TV and VCR. Further double bedroom. Family bathroom has whirlpool bath with shower fitting, basin, bidet and wc and beautiful views. The upstairs floors are of wood and there are beautiful beamed ceilings throughout. Furnishings throughout are tastefully rustic with additional antique pieces and many personal touche and pictures to add to the home from home feel. Central heating and a mobile phone and cot are available on request. Outside: The Castle villa is the only property in the village having a lovely terraced grassy garden and some trees. In the Garden you can find too a pool 7,5x4 metres, a barbeque a gazebo garden furniture. This is a delightful property which I feel would be ideal for a honeymoon in a romantic setting. Sleeps number of Bedrooms: 3 double bedrooms 4/5 sleeps maximum, bath 2 1 whirlpool bath Amenities: Satellite TV, VCR, mobile phone on request, pool, barbeque, gazebo, little stereo, fireplace in the kitchen..... The Castle sits at the edge of the little village and is surrounded by miles of woodlandwhere you can enjoy long walks and the whole area is a patchwork of medieval hilltop villages which are all worth a visit. Lanciole, though tiny, has a bar/pizzeria which also sells a few basic foodstuffs whilst in ancient times the village was known to have produced lancia or spears and other arms. The area makes a good base for touring being within easy driving distance of many famous places including Lucca, Pisa and Florence.
