After a day of touring the sites, relax and enjoy the serene valley views from your terrace, jacuzzi, or the pool The Wisteria house is a wonderful stone 3 bedroom home with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, separate WC, living room with big stone fireplace, TV, DVD player, central heat, wireless internet access, and CD player. Laundry room with washer & dryer. Hautefort is a great bicycling and walking area with rolling hillsides and lovely forest and valley views. All services are within walking distance down a single lane country road: 1 km to boulangerie, grocery store, and bank. 2 km to tabac, post office, and the office of tourism. 2.5km to a swimming lake. The Perigord is famous for its hearty food: black truffles, canard, pate de foie gras, cepes, and walnuts, with many good restaurants in the area. The wine regions of Bergerac and Bordeaux are only 1 hour to 1.5 hours away. There are many famous pre-historic, historic, and tourist sites: grottes caves, Troglodyte sites, Bastille towns, Castles, and old villages are less than 1-hour drive away Lascaux is only 20 minutes. Many sporting activities in the area: basketball, tennis, soccer, volleyball, bocce, canoeing, fishing, ropes par course, paintball etc...
