Egypt is probably the world’s oldest civilization having emerged from the Nile Valley around 3,100 BC, historically. Egypt is much more than Pyramids and monuments, it is a cultural experience. Red Sea scuba diving is an experience you can try while in Egypt.

There are many hot night spots, luxury hotels and five star restaurants. You can try romantic cruises down the Nile on festive river boats or a night at the grand opera. Egypt is a land complete with life, sound, visual beauty and excitement. For thousands of years, it has been the playground of emperors and kings, and it is easy to discover why.

Days throughout Egypt are commonly warm or hot, and nights are cool. There are only two seasons: a mild winter from November to April and a hot summer from May to October, with differences in variations of daytime temperatures, and changes in winds only. In the coastal regions, temperatures range between an average minimum of 14° C in winter and an average maximum of 30° C in summer.

In the inland desert areas. In the summer temperatures range from 7° C at night to 43° C during the day. With the temperatures during winter being as low as 0° C at night and as high as 18° C during the day.

There are many ways to get around in Egypt, by bus, rail, metro, tram, private car or you can even try a Nile cruise ship.

You are required to be in possession of a valid passport if you are a non-Egyptian visitor arriving in Egypt. Entry visas must also be obtained from either the Egyptian Diplomatic or the Consular Missions Abroad or from the Entry Visa Department at the Travel Documents, Immigration and Nationality Administration (TDINA). Most tourists and visitors can obtain an entry visa at any of the Major Ports of Entry.
