This extremely comfortable spacious cottage is a newer semi detached open plan bungalow with a large country garden backing onto woodland. It has a private driveway with convenient covered parking. The sunny south facing garden has a patio area surrounded by flowers and herbs, garden furniture, and a gas BBQ also provided. The cottage is fully furnished, has 2 bedrooms, one bedroom with a double bed and one with 2 single beds. The futon sofa in the living room can be made into an extra bed. It features electric central heating, fireplace, cable tv, video player with a library of family movies, bathroom with tub and shower. The well fitted and equipped kitchen has a full size fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and small appliances. A washer and dryer, and central vacuum system, a folding bed and baby crib are also in the cottage for your convenience. All bed linens and towels are provided, including beach towels and picnic baskets etc. Pets will be considered by pre-booking approval. Smokers please use the patio or porch area. Located in Central Vancouver Island, with convenient access to ferries, and day trips to Victoria, Tofino or Campbell River. We are seven minutes from Qualicum Beach and about 12 minutes from Parksville. This area has good clean sandy beaches, with lots of events happening in the summer. We have 6 golf courses in the local vicinity. Several private operators offer deep sea fishing and whale watching excursions. We would be happy to offer assistance in booking these trips. We are only minutes away from mountain lakes, waterfalls, and old growth forests. Wildlife is abundant in the area. Hiking, bicycle riding, sailing and bird watching are popular pastimes. Lots of good restaurants too. Wild salmon (several varieties), halibut, pacific oysters, shrimp and prawns are the local specialities, sold fresh off the boat at local marinas. |
